Using Acrylic paint, I painted the background a lovely, slightly faded/rustic lavender. I then fastened the Mink skull, to the open back, wooden framed canvas, using black thread. Once placed, I glued feathers in desired position and let dry. Using a sharpie, I then put tribal accent dots and stripes on skull, almost creating a warpaint effect. Last but not least, I did a sketch in pencil of antlers, and filled in with acrylic paint. This is an OPEN back, wooden framed canvas. It hangs on any nail or wall tack! Very light weight, skull firmly in place.
